What a season at Salisbury

Barn Owls
All played well today despite the slippery courts! DAS struggled with the weather first match and Spires really dominated with some excellent goals. Despite this, DAS didn’t let their heads drop and still chased as many balls as possible. Against Bournemouth 1, DAS proved very tough opponents, putting into practice what they’ve been working on in training. A real team effort, with defence on both teams making it hard for the shooters! DAS were leading 1-0 until very late on when unfortunately Bournemouth were able to capitalise quickly on a runaway ball to score. Ella POM for a great stint at C. Against Bournemouth 2, DAS continued well in the same vein as the previous match. Great court play from both teams, neck and neck all the way but unfortunately Bournemouth snuck it in the end.

Merlins
Excellent tournament today, Runners up (on goal difference) for the Merlins, they put their all into it and came out with 2 wins and 2 Draws. The last month they have really come into it and worked so well as a team, they have just suddenly clicked, I’m so excited to for the future for Merlins.

Ravens
Excellent afternoon of netball for the Ravens! Tournament WINNERS! They won every game and played superbly. They showed real grit, determination and teamwork throughout all of the matches. They supported each other and never gave up. Going into the last game knowing that they had to win, with tired legs, even when the opposition drew it back to 4-4 they never let their heads drop. Well played each one of you! Massive thanks to Ami and Jaz for your hard work, support and belief in the girls ??

Kestrels
Fantastic afternoon of netball. Kestrels came away with 2 medals ?. Firstly for coming second is the league - amazing result girls. Secondly they won the U13/14’s tournament. They won every game and played brilliantly as a team. They have improved so much throughout the season. I’m a very proud Team Manager of a fantastic team of girls that put all their effort and determination into every game. ??

Rooks
An amazing effort from the Rooks today who have really come together as a team and have shown so much improvement this season. Brilliant match play today with real focus and determination and fantastic teamwork, giving each other support and encouragement every step of the way. They finished today on a high with 2 wins and a great sense of achievement. Huge well done Rooks, you should feel very proud of yourselves ???

Harriers
Well done to the Harriers who took third place today, if only the Spires game hadn’t slipped away at the last minute… the seven of them played really well and kept going without a sub giving everyone a good game. As a bonus Harriers were announced as runners up for the u15/16 league, great result! ????

Eagles - Salisbury Junior League Tournament only
Eagles were invited in as a guest team as they have been playing Regional league. They were added to the u16 age group and wow did they show how far theyve come. Undefeated in all of their matches. Well done girls. Some great netball on show.

Thanks to all our volunteer team managers for being timekeeper, bottle carrier, and your team’s number 1 fan ????
Well done to the coaches - Kev, Carla, Jaz and Amy who without them we could not have entered.
